What are the best products to use for facial skin care? Do all those anti-aging products actually work and if so which do you use or recommend?Wrinkle and facial care?

it is an anti acne cream when dermatologist discovered that it makes a good anti-aging cream because it sort of peels off top skin, revealing new skin underneath.
my grandma uses this and my mom's office worker thinks that my mom is actually older than my grandma.
but she also uses, along with retin-a, oil of olay (my fave, makes my skin soft) and some collagen cream (improves elasticity of skin, makes it tight)
The bast advice, as a beauty therapist, that i can give you is general body care. Use a sun screen on your face everyday... if it isnt a sunscreen , you should use a moisturiser with an spf of about 15. Drink about 2 liters of water a day. and eat atlest 5 portions of fruit and vegetables,
Do facial excercises... trust me they do work. pull faces, really big smiles, lift your brows and drop them.
A product that does work, is olay regenerist. it has pentapedtides and they help wrinkles
Good quality facial products do help.
But, the best thing you can do for your skin is to stay out of the sun and always use sunscreen.
Sun damage is responsible for wrinkles, brown spots, and of course, cancer.
If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.
Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

My mom bought eucerin sensitive facial skin anti wrinkle. My question i seeing as it has no oil in it coul?
d I use it on my face after i`ve used my neutrogena no oil acne cream stuff. As it has no oil? Would this moisturizer be ok?

Oh sorry I didn't check this, so I don't know if you'll get this comment, but Aveeno has a good line of products. Aveeno Clear Complexion Correcting Treatment is a moisturizer but it also treats acne. It's not harsh on the skin, either. Report Abuse

No, don't do that! Get some proper anti-wrinkle cream! Cellulite cream would be too harsh on your face and may even make you come out in a rash... It wouldn't resolve anything either because your skin on your face is different to that on your legs - it needs different chemicals to resolve any wrinkles..
Anti-wrinkle cream isn't that expensive even if you get a good one - try L'Oreal Revitalift.

Two thousand volunteers blind-tested the day cream for another magazine and voted it one of the most effective complexion smoothers. 'I was asked if I'd had a facial,' one enthused. 'I think it must be expensive.'
At the beginning of the year, 890 jars a week were being sold nationwide at Aldi. Now more than 20,000 a week are being packed into trolleys, with dozens of branches selling out.
Manufacturers say the cream includes all the same ingredients as more expensive potions, including the enzyme Q10, which mimics the body's ability to protect against premature aging.

I am a great fan of Boots no 7 beauty products so when Horizon recently tested anti-aging products and found that one made by Boots to be the best I was not surprised.
The product in question is Boots No 7 protect and Perfect beauty serum. I have been using this for several months now and the Horizon findings just confirmed my thoughts on this little miracle-it works!
I first came across perfect and Protect serum when I was browsing around my local Boots shop clutching a 拢5 voucher. The sales assistant confirmed my choice by telling me she loved the product and she looked pretty good to me!
Open the outer box and a smooth clear glass bottle is revealed. The serum itself is white. The bottle has a pump action, which is sometimes a bit slow to react!
The serum itself has a silky feel to it. To be honest when I first tried it I thought it felt a bit watery on my finger. However it glides onto the face easily and my skin felt instantly better the first time I used it. It sounds a bit clich茅 but my skin really did feel hydrated and softer.
The serum is easily absorbed and is not greasy at all.Pretect and Perfect dosn't really have any scent to it and as its hypoallergenic I guess it has no perfume.
The product information suggests you first cleanse and tone your face before applying protect and perfect. I am lazy where beauty routines are concerned and only cleanse my face first. I don鈥檛 use a toner so don鈥檛 know if the results would be even better if I did! I also use Boots uplifting moisturiser before applying protect and perfect. You only need a pea-sized amount of this cream so a 30ml bottle will last for ages.
I have also found that my foundation goes on better after using protect and perfect-another bonus!
I can honestly say that I have noticed a big difference since using protect and perfect. My skin looks brighter and fine lines are less noticeable. I would highly recommend it!

I didn鈥檛 see the Horizon programme but read about the research later. Professor Lesley Regan a well-respected medical expert looked into several anti-aging products and found that the best was Boots protect and perfect-go Boots! She asked Professor Chris Griffith to carry out independent research into the product. He was able to prove scientifically that this product works!
Protect and perfect can actually repair photo-aged skin. This has to be great news for millions of women!
Protect and perfect contains Retinol a form of vitamin A. Retinol is used in acne treatment and is absorbed through the skin and increases the rate of cell renewal.
Protect and perfect also contains levels of collagen boosting ingredients to smooth out fine lines and help the skin to feel and appear firmer.
I really can鈥檛 think of anything negative to say about this product. It is easy to use, improves the look and feel of my face and is not too expensive.

I am 22 year male, recently i have developed facial marks below both eyes which are like crescent shaped depressions in the skin,like this :

Hi. Hard to say what is the best but I have used a few. The one I am using at the moment is made by Revitol and I have to say that I am pleased with the results. Not to sure of the price as I managed to get a free trial from the web site below.
The good thing is that if it does not get results, I have not wasted any money. But like I said, so far so good!
Burts bees radiance day cream and serum with royal jelly 鈾?

When I am out with my Dad people think he is my husband....he looks an easy 45 if that. He has the most beautiful skin. When I'm out with my brother people think he is my son...he looks 16 or 17.

I have blackheads and wrinkles that I want to get rid of. I recently struggled with acne and for acne-post marks I was told to use scarzone, which I will. But now I need help getting rid of blackheads and wrinkles. I can use to get rid of these? Hi, my niece is always complaining about his wrinkles on his forehead and saying that since he's just 14 it looks ugly on him. Is there any home remedy or facial excersize to lose the wrinkles on your forehead that doesn't include buying creams and going under surgery?
I remember seeing a book that teaches you how to give yourself a facelift by just doing the excersizes inside but I'm not sure if there would be something that would actually exist.

I do think so. If daily expressions over a long period of time can cause fine lines and wrinkles then facial exercises most definitely would too. The issue here is the skin but Sarbinargh is right about facial muscles building up (it's exercise, afterall). Use a good cleanser to keep the impurities out of your pours and once in a while use a facial mask I like St. Ives peel off face mask, it works great tightens my skin and removes the impurities. Then use a good astringent to freshen your skin. facial soaps are made for your face and Clinique is a great brand. skin gets aged faster by the sun and smoking. drink water and make sure your face doesnt get too dry or a sunburn.
A cleanser is a cleanser. Mild is always better than harsh. That said what will cause wrinkles is frowning, squinting (in bright light), lack of moisture in skin, smoking cigarettes and puckering. Cleanse and exofliate regularly, moisturize, use a good vitamin A and C treatment and plenty of sunscreen, the higher the SPF the better, preferably with zinc oxide at 60mg in the ingredients. Do that twice a day, you can skip the sunscreen at night.

STAY OUT OF THE SUN, shield your face and ALWAYS apply a sunblock, to your face, neck, chest, actually all over. The sun really ages your skin. Don't smoke, you WILL eventually get wrinkles around your mouth. Take great care of your skin, make it a habit EVERY night to remove your makeup and follow up with a good night cream or moisturizer. Clinique is a very good line of cosmetics, but I don't know that it matters so much WHAT you use at your age as much as it matters that you are consistent in doing so.

Does anyone have a 'secret' recipe they use for that purpose. Also, what is the BEST topical product you've found? Strivectin did nothing for me. Anyone have any other ideas? 10 great tips that will take years off your face.
1. Apply moisturiser regularly. Dry skin tends to lose elasticity earlier than oily skin, so applying moisturiser helps combat wrinkles, as it keeps the skin supple. It helps to keep in mind that air-conditioners and room heaters tend to dry out the air, and consequently, your skin. Apply a heavier moisturiser if you are going to be sleeping in an air-conditioned room. If possible, place a humidifier in the bedroom.?
2. Avoid resting your face on your arm. This stretches your skin.?
3. While removing eye make-up, be very gentle. The eyes are the first areas of the face to develop wrinkles. Under no circumstances should you stretch or pull the delicate under-eye skin.?

Okay so I am 33 and the last three years I have the lines from my nose to mouth and one from my mouth to chin are starting to get deeper...noticably deeper. I need to lose about 10-15 pounds. Over the counter:
Acne: try some different methods and stick to each for about 30 days to give it a fair trial. maybe start out with proactive and if that doesn't work for you, try some products from the drug store or sephora. It is very important to cleanse, treat, and moisturize (use spf during the day, twice daily and exfoliate 1-2 times per week. Get creative with some different face products like masks and things that will pamper you and help your skin!
Unwanted facial hair: I swear by jolene bleach, but it works best for people with fair skin. if you can't use or do not like jolene, consider getting a professional wax and then learning how to do it yourself (i do all my waxing myself and save a lot), or if the area with hair is small enough, pluck the hairs- just make sure you cleanse the area first.
Dandruff: use an anti-dandruff shampoo like head and shoulders or neutogena t gel or any you'd like to try.
Dry skin: get a good moisturizer!! use something oil free so it won't aggravate your acne but make sure it is moisturizing enough. look for products designed for ';combination'; skin. You can try having a separate moisturizer for night and day- a heavier one for at night to really replenish your skin, and a lighter one with spf during the day. I also have acne and very dry skin so it is very important to exfoliate- St. Ive's Apricot scrub (regular or for sensitive skin) a few times a week works wonders.
Wrinkles: moisturize, use eye creams and other products geared towards wrinkles. they even make products for people with both wrinkles and acne so you could give those a try! Also, you must must must use spf to protect your skin.
Stretch marks: there is not much you can do for these aside from waiting for them to turn white- which they will do, eventually, i promise! Also remember that almost everyone has at least a few stretch marks, so you're not alone. You can try using mederma (the scar ointment) but this isn't likely to do much since the scarring is deep underneath the skin. It is also extremely important to hide all stretch marks from the sun or they will darken!*
Medical:
See a dermatologist. He/she should be able to help you with all of your concerns. Pick someone who is covered by your insurance or it can get a bit pricey. If you are not covered for dermatology, since it is a specialty, consider changing your insurance to include it or just take a visit or two and get some tips.

to help with acne, i know this sounds so basi and stupid but keep very clean, from your laundry to bed sheats, the most common place for bacteria to spread from is your hands and your pillow. The worst thing you can do is to pop pimples because it causes the bacteria under the skin to spread from the pressure of squeezing. Also take notie of fabrics you are wearing they may be irritating your skin also and not allowing it to breathe. Try eating more foods containing zinc like celery, also teatree oil is a good cheap natural spot treatment.

buy some Arnica cream.
FACIAL HAIR
you can either get it waxed, bleached, use removal creams, laser...
also there is a gel by Thalgo called 'Biodepyl Gel' which is used to damage the hair papilla (where hairs grows from) this gel slows hair growth and can lighten colour (not much) though it gets best results when applied after waxing.
WRINKLES
be careful to distinguish between winkles and fine lines. Fine lines are mostly caused by dehydration and can ve fixed with a hydrating regime, however the best way to avoid wrinkles is SPF30+ sunblock.

I think you should take one thing at a time. When the seasons change people really notice changes in their skin. I would start with the unwanted facial hair and look into waxing. brows are usually $25, lip $15 you can also wax your chin and cheeks if you need to. If you are on a budget, invest in a good pair of tweezers and start there. I don't really think the at home wax kits are good. You sound stressed out. What about a nice bath with some baby oil in it. That is good for dry skin. Moisturize. Get into a nice calming routine before bed, take a bath and wash your face. Head and shoulders is good for dandruff. Wait on the stretch marks and wrinkles. Get the hair and the stress under control. Don't be so hard on yourself. Find a good girlfriend and get some makeup tips...look at magazines...take some time for yourself.
